We did so much that we couldn’t fit it all into one blog post, so we’re giving you a deeper look at World Pitch events with our series of first-hand accounts of the week straight from our superstar Student Ambassadors. ![]() World Pitch was a full week! In addition to a tour of San Francisco, we visited some awesome companies, like Autodesk, Google Ventures, and Uber – and to cap it all off, we enjoyed a wonderful awards ceremony and pitch night at the beautiful Oracle theater. Over the course of the week, Technovation community members got to know each other, swap stories and tech tips, and walk away feeling more connected to a global movement of world changers and problem solvers. Representing their countries were 12 finalist teams, 3 visiting teams, and 23 regional and student ambassadors. This year we were joined by participants from 18 countries, including Albania, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, India, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Nigeria, Nigeria, Peru, Spain, Uganda, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States. World Pitch week was a fun-filled stretch of field trips, tours of tech companies, panels about the tech industry, networking with women in tech, and pitching (plus a dance party or two for good measure!). We spent 5 packed days getting to know each other, learning about the big problems in one another’s communities, and trading ideas for ways to solve those problems. Last month we had an incredible time hosting more than 100 members of the Technovation Girls community in the San Francisco Bay Area for World Pitch. ![]()
